You can order groceries from Whole Foods to be delivered, toilet paper off Amazon, food from Postmates, liquor from Grizzly. It is your job to prove your worth if someone you work for relocates for work or moves.
If you find yourself working for someone out of town, make sure you still have face time. Try to set up a few days a month that you fly to where they are. Book the flights in advance so they are cost-effective. Find a cheap hotel to stay at.
Do they have a car you can use while you are there? What is your plan to maximize the time you are there? Do you have an agenda? What are the things that need to be done, that they don’t want to do, that you can handle while you’re there?
